SRINAGAR, Sept. 2 -- Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag has started administering anti-venom therapy for pediatric patients suffering snake bites, marking a significant development in healthcare facilities in south Kashmir.

The Department of Pediatrics has successfully treated and discharged its first patient after full recovery. Officials said the initiative, launched under the patronage of Principal Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb, will ensure that children no longer need to be referred to Srinagar for anti-venom treatment.
