Srinagar, Feb. 24 -- The Met Centre Srinagar has forecast a fresh spell of snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, expected to begin on the evening of February 25 and continue until February 28.

According to the weather advisory, the region will experience generally dry conditions on February 23-24. However, a western disturbance is likely to bring light to moderate rain and snow across most areas of the Kashmir and Jammu divisions from the evening of February 25. Isolated heavy rain and snowfall are also expected during this period.

The snowfall is projected to persist until March 1-2, with generally cloudy skies and light rain or snow occurring at scattered to fairly widespread locations.
