SRINAGAR, July 11 -- Commissioning and testing of an intelligent fire detection and alarm system took place in the Central Store and Pharmacy Block of SKIMS. On the occasion, Director SKIMS, Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie, emphasized, "Fire safety in hospitals is non-negotiable. Infrastructure must be supported with regular trainings and strict protocols to safeguard lives and critical assets."
A mock drill was held on site, involving the Fire & Security Department of SKIMS, pharmacy and central store staff, in collaboration with the Fire and Emergency Services Department.
