Srinagar, March 3 -- A massive fire broke out in the Ganai Mohalla area of Wagoora, Budgam, during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, reducing four residential houses to ashes.

The blaze, which started in one home, quickly spread to three others, causing extensive damage. Fire and Emergency Services deployed multiple fire tenders to contain the flames, but the fire could not be controlled in time.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
