Srinagar, March 17 -- The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast generally dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir from March 17 to 26, with a possibility of light snowfall over isolated higher reaches on the night of March 19.

A fresh spell of light rain and snow is expected in the higher reaches on March 27-28, according to the forecast.

In light of the weather predictions, authorities have issued advisories for travelers, tourists, transporters, and farmers. Travelers and transporters have been urged to follow administrative and traffic advisories, while farmers are advised to resume farm operations.

People are also cautioned to avoid avalanche-prone and steep slopes to ensure safety.
