SRINAGAR, May 19 -- Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Police have arrested a drug peddler in Ganderbal and recovered contraband substances from his possession.

A Police party of Police Post Gutlibagh at a checkpoint established at Wayil Wudder, intercepted a suspicious person who on seeing naka party tried to flee from the spot and was apprehended tactfully. He has been identified as Nazir Ahmad Raina son of Mohammad Ramzan Raina resident of Gagangeer Sonamarg. During search, Contraband Substance (heroin) was recovered from his possession and was subsequently arrested.
