Srinagar, July 24 -- A resident doctor from Uttar Pradesh was allegedly assaulted by an attendant of a patient at SMHS hospital late last night, following which his colleagues held a protest, demanding action against the culprit.

According to details, Dr Shahnawaz was allegedly assaulted by an attendant late last night in the hospital's emergency ward after the patient died.

A CCTV video of the assault has since gone viral on social media, sparking outrage across the medical community.
