BUDGAM, May 20 -- District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Budgam organized an awareness programme on the 'SCLSC campaign in Jails of India for filing SLPs,' at Central Jail Srinagar, today.

The event was conducted under the supervision of O.P Bhagat, Chairman DLSA, Budgam and under the guidance of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary DLSA Budgam.The objective of this campaign was to inform the inmates about the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee (SCLSC) in jails of India for filing SLPs & to educate them about the process and availability of filing special leave petitions (SLPs) through legal aid, and it also aimed to ensure access to justice for the inmates who remain unrepresented despite having viable legal remedies.
