New Delhi, April 21 -- Flight operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport remained crippled on Sunday, with nearly 68% of arrivals and departures delayed. Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) blamed airlines for failing to revise their schedules, despite being warned about operational disruptions nearly four months ago due to a planned runway closure and seasonal wind shifts.

The chaos unfolded as Runway 10/28 was shut on April 8 for Instrument Landing System (ILS) upgradation - a move agreed upon by all stakeholders months earlier. However, airlines reportedly made "minimal or no changes" to flight schedules, ignoring the projected dip in runway capacity.
