Srinagar, May 15 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to arrive in Srinagar today for a short visit during which he will interact with army personnel and officers.

Sources said that Raksha Manti Rajnath Singh is expected to reach Badami Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar around 11:30 AM.

This will be Singh's first visit to the Kashmir Valley following the recently concluded Operation Sindoor, a significant counter-insurgency operation carried out by security forces in Pakistan.

During his visit, the Defence Minister is likely to review the security situation in the region and hold deliberations with senior army officials at 15 Corps headquarter. He is also expected to address the troops and acknowledge their efforts.
