SRINAGAR, Jan. 30 -- Er Aijaz Hussain, DDC Lal Chowk and Senior BJP Leader, successfully inaugurated the long-pending initiative for sand mining extraction from the River Jhelum in Srinagar, addressing an issue that has affected hundreds of local miners for years. The initiative revives traditional mining practices, which had been halted in 2019 despite receiving permission.

Through his persistent efforts, Hussain has facilitated the identification of six key spots for traditional mining along the river, providing a lifeline to the local community dependent on this industry.
