KUPWARA, Aug. 28 -- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse today chaired the meeting of the District Level Committee under Narco Coordination (NCORD) to review various measures put in place to curb drug abuse in the district.

The meeting held a department-wise review of progress on enforcement, awareness, treatment, and rehabilitation. Officers presented updates against targets.

DC impressed upon all the officers to put in extra efforts aimed at eradicating the drug menace in the district. He also stressed to conduct special awareness camps for the vulnerable segments of the society viz. transport, street vendors and the youth.
