KULGAM, May 22 -- In order to assess the progress of ongoing works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), a meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan at the mini-secretariat Kulgam.
During the meeting, Chief Manager Power Grid briefed the DC on the status of ongoing projects in the district.It was informed that the RDSS, with a project cost of Rs 113 crore, aims to strengthen the power distribution infrastructure in the district by installing 618 new distribution transformers and 330 km of LT Aerial Bundled Cables (ABC) and 450 km of HT reconductor Circuit kmts. It was further apprised the initiative is designed to reduce Aggregate Technical and Commercial (AT&C) losses in Kulgam.
