BANDIPORA, May 23 -- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Friday conducted an extensive tour of the Sumbal sub-division to assess the status of irrigation infrastructure ahead of the upcoming agricultural season.

During the visit, DC inspected several irrigation canals and lift irrigation schemes across key areas including Pahalyari, Zajyari, Galibal, Hakabara, Paribal, Markundal, Wangipora Khurwan, Shadipora, Naribal Ganastan, Boon, Shahgund and other adjoining areas.

Qadri interacted with the officials from the Irrigation & Flood Control department and Mechanical Irrigation division to understand ground-level challenges, identify existing issues, and discuss strategies for improving water management. Reviewing t...
