Bengaluru, April 11 -- A couple was harassed and assaulted by five men near a park in Bengaluru, an incident that was caught on camera and widely circulated on Friday. The couple, seen sitting on a scooter facing each other, was confronted by a group questioning their relationship and religion.

The video shows the woman, wearing a burqa, and the man, in an orange t-shirt, being verbally abused. One of the accused allegedly recorded the woman on his phone while questioning her about her family's knowledge of her whereabouts. The men also confronted the man, asking why he was with a woman from another faith.

In a disturbing moment, one of the men is seen striking the man with what appears to be a wooden log.
