India, Jan. 8 -- The Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Kashmir, has issued a public notice directing vehicle owners, particularly two-wheeler riders across the Kashmir Division, to clear all pending traffic challans within seven days, failing which strict legal action will be initiated.
According to the notice issued by the RTO Kashmir Irfan Qazi, it has been observed that a large number of two-wheeler vehicles are being plied in violation of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, especially cases involving riders and pillion riders not wearing protective headgear and committing other traffic offences.
The notice states that such violations not only breach statutory provisions but also pose a serious threat to road safety, endangering human life...
