Shopian, April 9 -- Burglars attempted to break into an SBI ATM at Goal Chakri in South Kashmir's Shopian district late Monday night but failed to steal any cash, officials said.

A senior police official said the miscreants broke open the shutter of the ATM but could not access the cash. A police team reached the site soon after the incident was reported.

A case has been registered, and CCTV footage is being reviewed as part of the investigation to identify and nab the culprits.
