Jammu, March 3 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, convening for the Budget Session 2025, paid heartfelt tributes to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, along with other former parliamentarians and legislators who passed away since the last session.

During the obituary references, the Speaker acknowledged Dr. Manmohan Singh's immense contributions to the nation's economic progress, honoring him as a visionary statesman whose legacy will endure.

The Assembly also paid respects to former MP and Minister Syed Ghulam Hussain Geelani, Shamsher Singh Manhas, and former MLAs Ghulam Hassan Parrey and Choudhary Paira Singh.
