KARNAH, May 24 -- Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, Sunil Sharma, on Saturday visited multiple villages in the Karnah sector near the Line of Control to assess the widespread destruction caused by recent Pakistani shelling following Operation Sindoor.
Accompanied by senior leaders, Sharma toured several severely affected areas, including Bhatpora, where six houses were completely gutted; Hajinar, where a newlywed bride (dulhan) lost all her belongings; Triboni, where one house was reduced to ashes; and Shamaspora and Baghbella, where hundreds of houses sustained partial damage. He met with the affected families, assured them of all possible support, and emphasized the BJP's commitment to border residents.
