Srinagar, May 29 -- After the success of Operation Sindoor, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is arriving in Jammu on Thursday for a two-day visit.

The Home Minister had visited Kashmir on April 22 when terrorists had gunned down 25 tourists and a local pony wala.

This is his first trip of Shah to the region since Operation Sindoor was conducted by the Indian Air Force in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to retaliate against the April 22 Pahalgam attack.

According to reports, Shah is scheduled to review the security situation across Jammu and Kashmir and will visit the border district of Poonch, which bore the brunt of Pakistani shelling, killing 14 people and damaging property.
