Srinagar, April 21 -- In view of inclement weather conditions, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has ordered closure of all government and private schools across the Kashmir division today (April 21) as a precautionary measure. However, teaching and non-teaching staff have been directed to report to duty as usual.

Education Minister Sakina Itoo confirmed the decision via X, citing students' safety as the top priority amid severe weather forecasts.

Meanwhile, in Ramban, the district administration has also announced the closure of all educational institutions-including schools, colleges, and technical institutes-due to heavy rainfall and flash flood threats.
