New Delhi, April 10 -- An Air India Express pilot tragically passed away in Delhi on Wednesday shortly after completing a flight from Srinagar, airline sources confirmed.

The pilot, who was reportedly in his late 30s, began feeling unwell soon after landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport. He was rushed to a hospital but could not be saved.

In an official statement released Thursday, an Air India Express spokesperson said, "We deeply regret the loss of a valued colleague due to a medical condition. We are extending all possible assistance to the bereaved family and team members as we cope with this tremendous loss."
