SRINAGAR FEBRUARY 14, Feb. 14 -- In a commendable breakthrough, Police in Srinagar have successfully apprehended an accused involved in an ATM card swapping fraud.
On February 12, 2025, Police Post Bagyas received a written complaint from a lady namely Shaheena wife of Zahoor Ahmad Najar resident of Kupwara, stating therein that she along with her daughter, had visited Dental College, Shreen Bagh, for a dental checkup. While using an ATM located within the complex, an unknown individual inside the booth deceptively swapped her ATM card and subsequently withdrew Rs.40,000 from her account.
Acting promptly, a case FIR No. 14/2025 U/S 318(4), 305 BNS was registered in Police Station Safakadal and investigation was taken up.
