ANANTNAG, May 31 -- As part of its ongoing drive against drug trafficking, Police in Anantnag have arrested 04 drug peddlers in two separate operations and recovered substantial quantity of narcotic substances.

A police party from Police Post Sangam at a checkpoint established at Gund Baba Khalil, intercepted a vehicle (Santro) bearing registration number JK13A-5700 with two persons on board. During the search of the vehicle, approximately 21 kilograms of raw narcotic material, including cannabis seeds were recovered. The accused have been identified as Mohd Ayoub Kumar, son of Habibullah Kumar, and Javid Ahmad Kumar, son of Gh Hassan Kumar, both residents of Waghama.
