SRINAGAR, June 13 -- Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police in Awantipora have seized 02 Mechanized Motor Boats.

Police party of Police Station Awantipora headed by SHO PS Awantipora, seized two mechanized motor boats being used for illicit extraction of sand from river Jehulm. The individuals involved have been identified as Rayees Ahmad Wani son of Jalal-ud-Din Wani, Shakeel Ahmad Lone son of Khazir Mohd Lone, Manzoor Ahmad Wani son of Mohd Akbar Wani, Ajaz Ahmad Lone son of Gulam Mohi ud Din, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar son of Gh Mohd Dar and Gulam Mohi ud Din Wani son of Ibli Wani, all residents of Bunderpora Awantipora.
