SRINAGAR, May 23 -- Continuing its drive against drug menace, Police have arrested 02 drug peddlers in Kupwara and Sopore and recovered contraband substances from their possession.

A police party of Police Station Kupwara at a checkpoint established at Main Road Tikker near Radio Station Kupwara, arrested a drug peddler identified as Shahzad Ahmad Shiekh son of Bashir Ahmad Shiekh resident of Kupwara. During search, a substantial amount of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. Preliminary enquiry revealed that the accused was engaged in illicit drug trafficking for petty monetary gains.
