SRINAGAR, Aug. 14 -- Over 7.84 persons have been screened for tuberculosis in Jammu and Kashmir from 2024 till now
Official figures reveal that around 5.25 lakh individuals were screened for TB in 2024, while 2.59 lakh have been screened so far in 2025. The presumptive testing ratio stands at 3,692 per lakh population in the Jammu division and 3,890 per lakh in the Kashmir division.
The details were shared in a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, to review the progress of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and assess the measures being taken to achieve the goal of a tuberculosis-free Jammu and Kashmir.
