Baramulla, May 14 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday visited the shelling-affected areas of Uri in north Kashmir's Baramulla district and assured full government support to rebuild the homes damaged by Pakistani shelling along the Line of Control.

"It is our responsibility to provide you help from the government so that your houses are rebuilt," Abdullah told affected families during his interaction in Salamabad, Lagama, Bandi, and Gingal.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by his advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Uri Sajad Uri, and senior district officials. The visit was part of his ongoing assessment tour of affected border areas.
