New Delhi, Feb. 28 -- National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India has announced the winners of its tenth prestigious annual competition for short films on human rights in 2024.
Documentary filmmaker Abdul Rashid Bhat's film, Doodh Ganga- Valley's Dying Lifeline, which focuses on the adverse effects of pollution on Doodh Ganga, has won the first prize at NHRC's tenth annual competition for short films on human rights.
The documentary raises concerns over the free flow of various waste into the pristine water of the Doodh Ganga River and the need for its restoration for the overall good of the people in the valley. The film is in English, Hindi, and Urdu, with subtitles in English.
