Pakistan, Jan. 23 -- The government on Wednesday abolished the licence requirement for 102 small businesses, including new startups, to provide relief to the common man.
On Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan had ordered the provincial governments as well as the departments concerned to do away with such conditions that create hindrances in the setting up of small businesses.
Officials told this scribe that licence was earlier a prerequisite by the local government to start new businesses but now people wouldn't need to get it anymore.
Of 102 such businesses, 77 were of old nature while 25 others were new, which would be planned to be licenced at local government level, officials added.
