Pakistan, July 28 -- The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Monday urged the government to implement safety measures instead of shutting down businesses before Eid-ul-Azha.

The demand was made by the LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Vice President Ali Hussam Asghar and Vice President Mian Zahid Jawaid Ahmad as they addressed a delegation of traders from different markets of the city.

The delegation informed the LCCI office-bearers that closure of businesses before Eid-ul-Azha would lead to more losses for the traders who have already suffered financially due to earlier lockdowns imposed by the government to control the spread of Covid-19.
