Dhaka, Dec. 22 -- A youth was killed in a road accident at Chhagirshah Kata area in Chakoria upazila of Cox's Bazar district on Sunday.

The deceased was Shafiul Alam, 26, son of Selim Uddin of the Chiringa area of Chakaria Municipality, reports BSS.

The accident occurred on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway when a bus of 'Hanif Paribahan' hit a motorcycle around 2:00 pm from the opposite direction, leaving bike rider Alam dead on the spot.

Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Malumghat Highway Police Station Md. Mehedi Hasan confirmed the matter.
