Dhaka, April 20 -- A 35-year-old man died after reportedly falling from a building in the capital's Khilgaon area on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Asif Anwar, son of Anwarul Islam and a resident of C-Block, Khilgaon.

The incident occurred late on Saturday night, police said, reports UNB.

Critically injured, Asif was rescued and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 1am, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Quoting the victim's maternal uncle Khalilur Rahman, police said Asif had graduated in engineering from BUET and later went to the United States for higher studies.
