Dhaka, April 30 -- JERA Meghnaghat Power Limited (JMPL) has announced the appointment of Mr. Yasunori Katsumata as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) from 1 May 2025, said a company statement Wednesday.

With over 20 years of distinguished leadership in the energy sector, Mr. Katsumata brings a wealth of experience to lead JMPL through its next phase of growth and operations.

Since joining JMPL in August 2024 as Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Katsumata has played pivotal role in the development of the JMPL gas-fired power plant located in Meghnaghat, Narayanganj, Bangladesh.

Throughout his career, Mr. Katsumata has gained extensive international experience.
