Dhaka, April 22 -- Vehicular movement in Tejgaon Satrasta area remained suspended since Tuesday afternoon as workers of a chemical company blocked road protesting alleged derogatory remarks made about the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), causing immense sufferings to the commuters.

Delwar Hossain, assistant commissioner of Mohakhali zone, said the workers of Kohinur Chemical Company staged demonstration in front of their factory gate around 4:50 pm demanding exemplary punishment to the worker who allegedly made derogatory remarks about the Prophet.

Later, they took to the Satrasta area in the afternoon demanding removal of the worker from his job, reports bdnews24.com.
