Dhaka, Feb. 11 -- Union Insurance Co. Ltd. has settled a fire insurance claim by handing over fire insurance cheque to a fire-affected shop owner, according to a press release issued on Tuesday.

Talukder Md. Zakaria Hossain, CEO of Union Insurance Co. Ltd, handed over the cheque to Mr. Md. Saifur Rahman, owner of M/S Naz Shoes, which was affected by a fire at Bangabazar in Dhaka.

Head of Claim Mohammad Azad Hossain and Company Secretary Shafquat Moula were present on the occasion along with the high officials of both organisations.
