Dhaka, March 19 -- United Commercial Bank (UCB) PLC and the RAISE Project, under the Wage Earners Welfare Board (WEWB), have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to help returnee migrant workers access finance for entrepreneurship at Probashi Kallyan Bhaban.
UCB's Additional Managing Director, Adnan Masud, and RAISE Project Director, Dr. A.T.M. Mahbub-Ul Karim, signed the MoU, according to a media release.
Senior officials from both organizations attended the event.
This partnership will provide returnee migrants with financial support to start or grow businesses, helping them reintegrate into the economy. UCB will offer tailored financial services to support their transition to self-employment.
