Dhaka, Feb. 19 -- Uber supported economic growth in Bangladesh with Tk 5.5 billion of economic activity in 2024, according to a report.
Uber, the leading ridesharing app in Bangladesh, released its economic impact report 2024 at an event on Tuesday.
Md Ehsanul Hoque, senior secretary at Road Transport and Highways Division, and Mohammed Yasin, BRTA chairman, were present at the function.
The report, compiled by Public First, said Uber's Moto and Auto services supported Tk 9.2 billion of economic activity in Bangladesh in 2024.
These services have become essential for meeting the growing demand for affordable and convenient last mile connectivity.
