Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- Two members of a family were killed and four others injured in a road accident in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram on Monday.

The incident took place at Faujdarhat Cadet College area of the upazila on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 6:00 am, as per local media reports.

One of the deceased was identified as Anwar Hossain, (62), while the identity of another victim could not be known immediately.

According to fire service sources, they were going to Cox's Bazar from Narayanganj for a pleasure trip. When their microbus reached the area, it hit a roadside standing dump truck.

The injured were taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH), said the sources.
