Dhaka, June 25 -- Two more people have died of dengue while 326 new patients have been hospitalised with the Aedes mosquito-borne disease across Bangladesh over the past 24 hours.
The number of patients hospitalised with the disease this year rose to 8,870, while the tally of deaths climbed to 36, bdnews24.com reports.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said as many as 73 new patients were hospitalised in the Dhaka metropolitan area until Wednesday.
In addition, 41 were hospitalised in the Dhaka Division, five in the Mymensingh, 43 in the Chattogram, 16 in the Khulna, 29 in the Rajshahi, 118 in the Barishal, and one in the Sylhet.
