Dhaka, Sept. 3 -- The Trump administration has finally named its nominee for US ambassador to Bangladesh, choosing a seasoned career diplomat to fill the top post at its Dhaka mission.
Brent Christensen, of Virginia, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Counsellor, has been nominated to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, according to an announcement on the White House's official website dated September 2, 2025, according to a UNB report.
