Dhaka, April 3 -- The train service on the Dhaka-Mymensingh rail section resumed after remaining suspended for two hours after a fire incident on Mahua Express.
Fire broke out in the commuter train Mahua Express when it was approaching Saat Khamair Railway Station of Gazipur from Dhaka at around 10:30, reports BSS.
As Saat Khamair Station was closed at this time, there was no employee in the station to communicate after the fire incident, Sreepur Fire Service officer Rezaul Karim said.
After receiving information from Dhaka, two units of Sreepur Fire Service reached the spot and brought the fire under control after one and a half hours of frantic efforts.
