Dhaka, June 20 -- Quick trade clearance will cut cost and time for businesses as automated issuance of documents for export-import clearance on a single platform begins now under a reform recipe.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has automated the trade- clearance process -- a long-felt need to upgrade Bangladesh's external trade apace with the fast-moving world.
With this mechanisation of the outworn manual trade-clearance procedure, importers and exporters will get the certificates, licences and permits (CLP) from 19 major government entities from July 1, 2025 without having to move door to door.
