Dhaka, Nov. 13 -- Security forces have been deployed in large numbers around the International Crimes Tribunal as it prepares to announce the date of the verdict in the crimes against humanity case against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and two others over the July mass uprising, reports local media.
International Crimes Tribunal-1, led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mojumder, is scheduled to set the verdict date today.
The Awami League, whose political activities remain banned, has announced a citywide "Dhaka lockdown" programme tied to the verdict announcement, prompting further security escalations.
