Dhaka, Dec. 29 -- Three students have drowned while bathing in the Brahmaputra River in Jamalpur. The bodies were recovered by the Fire Service's diving team after an operation lasting about one and a half hours.
The incident occurred at around 3:00 pm on Sunday when the three students went missing while bathing. Their bodies were recovered at around 4:30 pm.
The three deceased were identified as Rahi (15), the son of Amjad Mia, Rushman (17), the son of Raja Mia, and Afif (15), the son of Farid.
All three were residents of the same Sonkanda area in the town and were school students.
