Dhaka, Jan. 29 -- Three more local garment factories have received LEED certification from the US Green Building Council (USGBC), with one achieving the highest score globally, taking the total number to 273.

HAMS Garments Ltd-- located in Sreepur of Gazipur has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification with a score of 108 points out of 110-- the highest score recorded globally so far under this category.

The remaining two units are Ecotrims Bangladesh Ltd - Unit 1 in Telihati union of Gazipur and NAFA Apparels Ltd - Unit 1 in Kaliakoir of Gazipur and achieved gold certification with 70 and 65 points respectively.
