Dhaka, March 10 -- Three passengers on an autorickshaw have been killed after a truck ploughed into the three-wheeler in Phulpur upazila of Mymensingh.

Two others were injured in the head-on collision, which took place on the Phulpur-Sherpur road around 9:30am on Monday, according to Abdul Hadi, the local police station chief.

The victims could not be identified immediately, reports bdnews24.com.

"An autorickshaw was heading towards Sherpur when it collided head-on with a truck. Three passengers on the autorickshaw died on the spot," said Hadi.

The injured were rescued and sent to the Phulpur Upazila Health Complex, he added.
