Dhaka, Jan. 16 -- Three people have reportedly died in a fire that broke out in a residential building in Dhaka's Uttara.
The fire erupted early on Friday morning on the second floor of the seven-storey building in Sector No. 11.
Two firefighting units rushed to the scene within eight minutes after the incident was reported and took control of the flames around 8:25am, according to Fire Service official Talha Bin Jasim.
Three people were found dead at the scene, reports bdnews24.com.
The Fire Service says 13 people were rescued from the scene and sent to Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital.
The fire started on the second floor of the building, according to Rafiq Ahmed of the Uttara West Police Station.
