Dhaka, Feb. 1 -- Three Chhatra Shibir activists were injured in an attack allegedly by Chhatra League members in Indurkani upazila of Pirojpur district on Friday night.

The injured, identified as Tarikul Islam, 25, Riyan, 16, and Saidul Islam, 18, were attacked near the Baliparha Land Office. Tarikul is now receiving treatment at Indurkani Upazila Health Complex.

Chhatra Shibir's local upazila unit accused Chhatra League activists of carrying out the attack.

The Upazila Chhatra League unit could not be contacted for comments over the incident.

However, former president of Pirojpur district Chhatra League unit Aniruzzaman said that the incident stemmed from an internal conflict between Chhatra Shibir and Chhatra Dal.
