Dhaka, Feb. 9 -- Police recovered three crude bombs near Ananda Cinema Hall in Farmgate area of the capital on Saturday.

After receiving a call on 999, police rushed to the spot and got a black bag on the footpath there, a police officer said.

On information, the Bomb Disposal Unit recovered crude bombs and later defused them at the old trade fair grounds in Agargaon.

"We received information through 999 around 11:15am. Later, with the assistance of the Bomb Disposal Unit, we recovered three crude bombs wrapped in a black scotch tape inside a black bag around 1:15pm," said Md Saiful Islam, sub-inspector of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station.
